Welltel is delighted to improve on last year’s place up to 13th in the 2020 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 which ranks the country’s 50 fastest growing technology companies. The award is based on their revenue growth over the last four years and is one of Ireland’s foremost technology award programmes. It is a huge honour and achievement to be listed among the most innovative and developing technology companies in Ireland 7th year in a row.
Despite the year presenting unexpected difficulties and complications with covid-19, Welltel pushed forward to achieve its goals of growth and development. CEO Ross Murray credits another year of success to our relentless focus on delighting our customers which has led to a very loyal customer base with a lot of customer recommendations from companies impressed with our ability to provide, high-quality reliable solutions on time and within budget.
Growth through Acquisition
‘2020 was a big year for us in terms of acquisitions. We were able to grow our product range and customer base by three strategic acquisitions. Firstly we acquired Invistech, which was a milestone for us as we had been looking to enter IT & Security market for quite a while. Following that, the acquisition of Novi, a strong proactive cybersecurity company, allowed us to enhance our cybersecurity and managed services offering. Finally, we were also able to enhance our cloud UC and contact centre portfolio by acquiring Intellicom as well as adding to our voice capability through the addition of their advanced voice network.’ Ross Murray, CEO
Not only did Welltel feature in the awards but one of the recent acquisitions, Intellicom, also come in at number 50.
Growth of Remote Working
It is an interesting time in the business communications industry as recent events have forced organisations to trust remote working as their main operating style. The workplace is changed forever with more and more companies experiencing the benefits of remote working solutions and offering its employees a better work-life balance in the future to come. Welltel is proud to have been able to quickly adapt to suddenly peaked remote working demands and provide its customers with simple and cost-effective solutions that allowed organisations to stay in business. Welltel is looking forward to another year of working tirelessly for its customers and strengthening its partnerships.
Growth Across Ireland
Announcing the winners of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 programme, David Shanahan, Partner, Deloitte said: “Every year at the Fast 50 Awards, we celebrate the incredible innovation and entrepreneurship displayed by Irish tech companies and the immense contribution they make to our economy. Cumulatively, the 2020 Fast 50 winners generated approximately €3.3 billion in total annual revenues and employed over 4,600 people in 2019. The average revenue of companies featured in the ranking was approximately €90 million, while the average growth rate of the companies over the last four years was over 400%. Compared with last year, there are 13 new companies on the ranking.
